The Van-Dells formed in 1974, and quickly started performing throughout the country. The band was spending a lot of time in Florida, and they had a fan in that area who took them in and watched over the “boys” as they were struggling young artists! Her name was Sherry Odom, and she became the first Van-Dells Fan Club president. She would be the first of a long line of Fan Club presidents who would carry the torch over the years. The purpose of the fan club is to keep members updated with the latest happenings. We strive to keep people informed about upcoming shows, and events, as well as things of interest from past Van-Dell shows. We release a bi-monthly newsletter. “Rock this Town” contains a schedule update, as well as photos, and stories about the Van-Dells. The cost of this publication is $10.00 a year, and it includes a membership card, and an exclusive 8 x 10 photo of the Van-Dells. Make sure you check out The Van-Dells Yahoo Group! This a free site that you can go to online, where you can read posts about the Van-Dells, you can also post your own show review, as well as any other information that you would like to share with fellow fans. The site is open to all fans. |
